Item was only on display. Item comes from a smoke free home and environment. Please review pictures before purchasing so you know condition of item and box. I did put batteries in the clock and can confirm that the clock works and lights up however I can also tell you that the hour hand is not tight and does not keep time it just swings and will not stay in place. This is something a person who fixes clocks maybe able to fix.
